Here is the deal. Sasha and I had a meeting with the great folks down at Penobscot Theatre to brainstorm on a way to get some live music into their home, The Bangor Opera House. So what did we come up with? WPC Presents The Bangor Opera House Sessions! In the popular fashion of all our past WPC Presents shows, this series at The Bangor Opera House will have great bands for FREE!!!! Many of you may have been to the theatre before, some of you haven’t, but this is sure to be a new and fun experience for us all. Help us fill the Penobscot Theatre, show these bands some love, its free! Get your evening started early with us and then after hearing some killer music in a new venue, you can go visit our many other fine establishments in the downtown area!
Mother Leopard will be making their WPC Presents debut (WPC has been lucky enough to play a few shows with these guys on the road) and we are really excited to bring them to Bangor. Frontman Darrell Foster is a great showman and every little dance move he adds to his smooth rocking vocal delivery gets the crowd screaming every time! The driving bass lines locked tight with the drums, guitar, oh the guitar, screaming when it needs too, and hanging back when asked politely, and keys to smooth it all out, will keep you on your feet! This will make you want to grab a guy or girl and not stop dancing until their set is done…….
But wait, you are going to want to keep that dancing up because our good friends and WPC Presents alumni Class Machine will be rocking the plaster off the walls at The Bangor Opera House. This rock duo from Belfast find away to actually be a trio with two people. One giant bass player, singing loud, and a drummer that can also play guitar at the same time!!! This is going to be an amazing night of free music! We will have even more details to come!
